Wild Web Safaris are interactive virtual exhibits created by the Antelope Valley Wildlife & Conservation Center to help visitors explore wildlife, plants, habitats, and conservation from anywhere. Each safari offers an educational look at the natural world without ever leaving your screen.

💰 Does it cost anything to explore Wild Web Safaris?
No! Wild Web Safaris are free to explore as part of our commitment to making wildlife and conservation education accessible to our community and beyond.

🦉 Are all of the species featured in Wild Web Safaris found in the Antelope Valley?
Yes. We want to place a special emphasis on species found throughout the Antelope Valley and surrounding desert ecosystems. As our virtual safaris continue to grow, we introduce dedicated sections and experiences that will aimt to feature species and ecosystems from other regions around the world.  

🏜️ How do I know which species are native to the Antelope Valley?
Our exhibits provide information about each species' natural range and habitat. Species native to or commonly found within the Antelope Valley and surrounding region may also be identified within their individual exhibits.

🎓 Can teachers use Wild Web Safaris in their classrooms?
Absolutely! Teachers, homeschool families, youth organizations, and other educators are encouraged to use Wild Web Safaris as supplemental resources for science, conservation, environmental education, and classroom exploration.

Yes! Educational materials identified as downloadable resources may be printed and used for personal, classroom, homeschool, and other noncommercial educational purposes.

👧 What ages are Wild Web Safaris designed for?
Wild Web Safaris are designed for explorers of all ages. Younger visitors may enjoy exploring alongside an adult, while older students and adults can dive deeper into topics such as habitats, taxonomy, conservation, and ecology.

🔬 What information is included in each virtual exhibit?
Exhibits may include species facts, habitats, geographic ranges, taxonomy, conservation information, ecological importance, and other educational content. Some exhibits may also feature downloadable activities and additional learning resources.

🐾 How often are new Wild Web Safaris added?
New virtual exhibits are added as they are researched, developed, and completed by our team. Keep an eye on our ANNOUNCEMENTS page to discover when a new safari is ready to explore!

📸 Where does AVWCC get the information and images used in its exhibits?
Our team works to develop exhibits using reputable educational, scientific, governmental, and conservation resources. Images and other media are created, licensed, or used in accordance with applicable permissions and usage requirements. 

⚠️ Does learning about a plant or animal mean it is safe to touch or interact with?
No. Some wildlife, plants, fungi, and other organisms can be dangerous or harmful, so Wild Web Safaris should never be used as a substitute for professional identification or safety guidance.

💡 Can I suggest a species for a future Wild Web Safari?
Absolutely! We love hearing what our explorers want to learn about and welcome suggestions for animals, plants, insects, aquatic life, fungi, and other species for future exhibits.

🦁 Will every animal featured in Wild Web Safaris eventually live at AVWCC?
No. Wild Web Safaris are educational experiences featuring species from the Antelope Valley and around the world, and inclusion in a virtual exhibit does not mean that a species will become part of AVWCC's future physical animal collection.
